The Hamersley Family History The Hamersley / Hammersley family came from Staffordshire and can trace their descent from a Hugo le Kinge who came from France in the early 1300's and settled at a place called Homersley from which his descendants took their name. My particular line of Hamersley's trace back through the Stepney area of London, to the St. Giles in the Fields parish in West London and Turnham Green areas in 1791, with all direct male ancestors being named William (usually with a middle name of Henry). If you believe that you can make a connection to this line please contact me at: Hamersley Family History Resources (UK) For those of you that are researching Hamersleys in England and Wales I have provided the following resources.
